An Austin-based ensemble, Mitote explores the vast musical terrains of Mexican traditional son but with a Chicano sensibility. Mice and Rifles, who came together as a whole in January 2006, released their sophomore effort, "Beginner's Luck " on December 14th. Hailed as a “morbid country masterpiece” (Austin Music+Entertainment/Jan. 06) The Austin Chronicle gave Mice and Rifles a nod as one of the top 10 Austin bands to watch in 2007.
